Basil Raza Butt By the grace of Allah, I had an opportunity to complete my Waqf-e-Arzi in one the Jama’at’s most famous
(7th Y) centers and headquarters, Rabwah, Pakistan. Working directly under Nazarat Ta’limul Qur’an and Waqf-
e-Arzi, I served in the Nizaamat-e-Ulya department of the Annual Fazl-e-Umar Ta’limul Qur’an Class.
As part of work, I spoke with dozens of students from all accross Pakistan about their unique educational
and Jama’ati narratives. This engagement greatly enhanced my understanding of rural life in a third-world
country. After the conclusion of the class, my work shifted to the office of Sadr Anjuman under the same
Nazarat where I was further aquainted with general administrative works in the Nazarat. By Allah’s grace, I
learned a lot over this two-week-long Waqf-e-Arzi. Alhamdulilla.

Khilafat is a blessing. One unasked for by man; but is well aware of man's needs, which he is himself
paralyzed to. Even the angels inquired, will peace really become of fear? Surely, there is no stopping His
grace. By the grace of Allah, this summer several students were blessed with the opportunity of Waqf-e-
Arzi in Latin American countries; my destination was Paraguay. Paraguay is a developing country with
remarkable disparity, English is uncultivated and due to the infiltration of materialism in the Church, a
growing demographic is exhausted from institutionalized religion. However, the people of Paraguay are
very friendly, outgoing and social – though knowing their language does facilitate interaction. For me –
raised in Canada – the terrain was daunting. The distance, the language, the customs; it was a new landscape
to navigate. A sense of apprehension did enter the conscience that ‘how on earth will I be able to do tabligh
here?!’

Mashhood But come Friday, by hearing Huzoor’saa voice live, fear is dispelled and the words of Allah reign true.
Ahmad (3rd Y) Countless generations were bereft of it, empires waned in anticipation, entire kingdoms washed away in
deception that they possessed this Divine manifestation, and now it’s before us. It’s unfathomable how
Page # 7 even while being thousands of miles away, the Khalifa’saa presence can saturate a person with comfort.
This universal experience of Ahmadis (and others alike) is enough proof to show that our Khilfafat is the
antidote to all scopes of distress and grief.
