Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada is committed to fair admissions and considers every applicant on an individual basis,
assessing both his ability and suitability for the program. The past and predicted academic achievements of
applicants are considered along with other evidence of the applicants' aptitude, intelligence, skills, interests,
motivation and potential. Jamia's selection procedure has been designed to select such applicants who can be most
beneficial and effective as life-devotees and missionaries, after the completion of their studies.
The Jamia admissions requirements and selection process has been outlined below.
Once the prospective student has sent an application form to Jamia, he has to successfully pass an entrance exam
and an interview determining his suitability for the field of studies offered at Jamia. The details of these admissions
requirements are given below:
Candidates will have to pass an entrance exam based on the Waqf-e-Nau Syllabus (a religious-education course designed for students up to the age of 16).
This test will cover topics such as:
Correct recitation of the Holy Qur'an
Translation of Surah Al-Baqarah verses 1-17
Namaz (Prayer), its postures, rules and translation
Basics of Religious Knowledge (Introduction of the Promised Messiah (as), Khulafa', Jama'at etc.)
Small Ahadith and their translation
Reading and understanding some small books of the Promised Messiah (as), e.g., Noah's Ark, The Will etc.)
General Knowledge, Geography
Fundamentals of Urdu (Reading/Speaking)
As part of the selection process, an interview of the candidate would be conducted by members of the Admissions Board in order to determine his aptitude for Jamia.
Given below is a breakdown of the marks assigned to each of the aforementioned requirements. Candidates will have to score at least 70% in each of the following criteria to be considered for admission:
Upon successful completion of the selection progress, the candidate's recommendation will be sent to Hazrat Khalīfatul-Masih(aa) for approval of admission to Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada.
