Program Shahid (Theology & Comparative Religions)

Admission Requirements To be eligible for admission, the minimum requirements are:
  • Ahmadi Muslim male, aged less than 20
  • Good moral character
  • A high school diploma (grade 12) with an average of at least 80% marks in all the academic subjects
  • A medical report from a practicing physician certifying good health of the applicant
  • High score in a written test for admission
  • Successful admissions interview
Program Requirements To successfully complete this program, you must fulfill the following program requirements:
  • Complete each of the six grade-levels of the program
  • Write a comprehensive research thesis on an assigned subject
  • Write a cumulative exam covering the entire syllabus of the seven-year program
  • Pass a cumulative VIVA examination encompassing all of the theoretical and practical knowledge gained throughout the seven-year course
  • Participate and complete the endurance walk and participation in extracurricular activities (e.g., annual sports, educational competitions etc.)
Method of Program Delivery Classes are conducted on campus, in classrooms
Expected Program Duration 7 years
Hours of Instruction 36 hours of in-class instruction per week, for 40 weeks in a year
Modules There are 3 Phases of the Shahid Program. Phase 1 consists of Years 1 & 2. Phase 2 consists of Years 3, 4 & 5. Phase 3 consists of Years 6 & 7.
Credential Awarded on Successful Completion of Program With the approval of the supreme head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim community, a student who successfully completes the Shahid Program would become a Missionary of worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim community.
Tuition, Fees and Costs Tuition and other associated fees are covered by a scholarship from Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Canada Inc.
